Kerry Jay Lewis, affectionately known as “Lew,” was born on March 31, 1954, in Lima, Peru, and passed away peacefully on May 22, 2025, at the age of 71.
Kerry spent his early years in Missoula, Montana, and Ogden, Utah, and graduated from Bonneville High School. He proudly served in the U.S. Army and later pursued a career in construction. Known for his easygoing nature, bright blue eyes, and unforgettable laugh, Kerry had a way of making people feel welcome and loved wherever he went.
Throughout his life, Kerry faced many challenges, including struggles with addiction. Though he battled with these difficulties, they never defined him. His generous heart, enduring love for his family, and deep affection for animals always shone through. He remained a kid at heart, full of warmth and a big smile that made a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.
He is survived by his brother Jim (Dolly), his sister Paxie (Randy), and his sister-in-law Joyce. He was preceded in death by his mother Susan, father Bill, and brother Bill.
His nieces and nephews will always remember him as larger than life and knew without a doubt that he loved them deeply.
Kerry’s family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the VA, Home Health Care, and the many neighbors whose love and support meant so much to him.
A private family gathering will be held in his honor. Kerry will be deeply missed and forever remembered by those who knew and loved him.
