Lani Moses Palau

July 30, 1949 — March 2, 2019

Lani Moses Palau passed away March 2, 2019 surrounded by his family.

Lani was born July 30, 1949 to Rachel M Landy (Nacario) and Moses K Palau. He was raised in Ogden and attended Ogden City Schools. He worked in the auto industry for over 20 years, side by side with his brothers.

Lani was known as a story teller, willing to talk anyone’s ear off, whether you had known him for two minutes or 20 years. He never met a stranger and was a master of tall tales. Lani was famous for driving 25 miles slower than the speed limit, blasting his music. He was a fan of WWE, video games, and Weber State University.

Lani put family above all else, and never missed a family event, always willing to lend a helping hand. His pride and joy was his granddaughter Taya, who was the light of his life.

Lani was preceded in death by his mother, Rachel Nacario and father Moses Palau. He is survived by his son Lani Shawn Palau, granddaughter Taylee (Taya) Barrera-Palau, siblings Michael (Shellie) Palau, Jean (Ron) Roskelley, Dean (Pam) Nacario, Amanda Naycalo, Rupert Nacario, Lina (Ezra) Hookano, and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday March 13, 2019 at Aaron’s Mortuary, located at 496 24th St, Ogden, UT 84401, from 6-8 pm.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to help with funeral expenses to Amanda Naycalo at America First Credit Union: Routing #324-377-516 Account #574418 Savings.  Condolences may be sent to the family at www.aaronsmortuary.com.

Lani is on to his next chapter bending the ears of God and the Angels.
