Lawrence joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in June 1965, one of the most important decisions of his life He served faithfully in many capacities over the years, including as Bishop of the Healdsburg Ward, His testimony of Jesus Christ never waivered, He spoke with conviction about his love for the Savior’s ministry, and that conviction was evident in the way he lived and in how he treated and served those around him, He loved to read and kept his scriptures and other religious books always close at hand.
Those who had the privilege of knowing Lawrence will carry with them the memory of his quick wit and his extraordinary gift for storytelling.
