Lisa LaDean Healey

March 24, 1965 — May 6, 2024

Lisa (River) Gordon Healey was born March 24, 1965, to her parents, Dal and Reatha Gordon, where they took her home to a farm in South Jordan, which lead to a love of horses and where a bond with her siblings, Laurie, Scott (Tammy), and Mark started.

River passed away peacefully on May 6, 2024, surrounded by loved ones and is now home dancing once again with her angels.

In 1985 she met her first love, Douglas Ewing, together they built a life and raised two beautiful daughters before later separating but always remaining friends.

She didn’t always have the easiest life and battled many demons for a long time before meeting her second love, Russell Healey, through the AA/NA program. They married in May of 2011 and spent many wonderful years together riding motorcycles and celebrating recovery with the FreeRiders of Utah before parting ways. River spent the best years of her life helping her community and providing services to other addicts in need at the Alano Club of Ogden where she met her life partner, Geoff Healey. River had many friendships, but none stronger than the sisterhood she built with her YaYa’s. She loved sitting around a good fire, camping with her family, being in nature and watching sunsets. She was always up for an adventure no matter how small.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Jayme Gordon; and her nephew, Cameron Gordon.

She is survived by her siblings, and children: Sarah Gordon, James Carothers, Elijah Reyes, Neal, Marcus Carothers, Jennifer (Kenneth) Genta, James Grundie, Jessica Roorda, Jodi Grundie, and Jessica Grundie; her grandchildren: Alize Carothers, Serenity Carothers, Mason Carothers, Kylee Genta, Payton Genta, Zerek Grundie, Cassandra Grundie, Zedekiah Grundie, Sydney & Quincy; and her nieces and nephews: Zach, Brandon, Chance, Chase, Corrie and Tasza.

There will be a memorial celebration held at the Alano Club of Ogden with a date to be announced once arrangements have been made.
