On the morning of December 12, 2025, Myrtle Marie Corgiat passed away at the age of 85.
Myrtle was born May 29, 1940, in Provo, Utah to Evelyn and Frank Corgiat. Myrtle and her mother moved to Clearfield, Utah while her father was in the Navy. She spent her years of growing up in Clearfield and attended the schools in Davis County, graduating from Davis High School. Myrtle grew up in a loving family that instilled in her the values of kindness, hard work and compassion. Throughout her life she was known for her unwavering generosity and her ability to make everyone welcome. She touched countless lives with her warmth and kindness, always greeting others with a smile and an offer help to anyone who asked.
Myrtle dedicated herself to her family, doing the best she could to create a home filled with love and well-being. She enjoyed painting, playing the piano, sewing, crocheting and needle work and would routinely spend hours crafting only to give it away. She loved children and her greatest joy came from spending time with, not only her children and grandchildren, but with anyone who would show up! She loved people! Her legacy of love and selflessness will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father; step-brother, Fred (Lois); and brother, Michael (Betty).
She is survived by sons, Kevin (Heather) Bodily and Arlen Bodily; brothers, Frank (Vicki) and John; five grandchildren: Christopher, Rachel, Emily, Michael, and Rebecca; and great grandchildren.
A celebration of Myrtle’s life will be held on December 16, 2025, at the Clearfield City Cemetery at noon. Family and friends are invited to gather and share memories of this remarkable woman.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice honoring Myrtle’s lifelong commitment to helping others.
