Patrice Walker Moll was born in Salt Lake City, Utah at Holy Cross Hospital to John
Burnett and Patricia Hill Walker. Patrice was the oldest of five children growing up
alongside her siblings Jennifer (Roger), Lisa (Floyd), and twin brothers Robert and
Randall Walker. Patrice spent the majority of her life living in Northern Utah, but did live
in Seattle, Washington for a few years and enjoyed visiting her Grandparents’ Ranch in
Canada. Patrice also loved visiting and spending time with her other relatives.
Growing up, Patrice was very popular and athletic. She was warm and always had a
smile on her face. Patrice loved to dance and sing along to her favorite songs. Patrice
loved the sun and you could frequently find her sunbathing near the water or out in the
yard, music often playing in the background.
In June of 1987, Patrice married Michael Lester Moll after knowing him for just two short
months. They remained married until her unexpected passing. Patrice is survived by her
husband and her four children: Michael, Alicia (Braydon), Lyndsie (Martin) and Trevor
(McKenna). She also leaves behind her six grandchildren whom she loved dearly, but
did not see as often as she would have liked to.
Patrice was warm and kind, having the kind of smile and laugh that reached her eyes.
Patrice felt things deeply and fully. She was a great listener, friend, devoted mother, and
wife. Patrice was the kind of mother who would blast music on the weekend, singing
and dancing around in the kitchen, or spend hours chatting with you over an iced
caramel macchiato. There was never any judgement, only understanding. You could go
to her with anything - a mistake, a mess, a heartbreak - and she would just sit with you
and listen with an open heart, never rushing you or making you feel small. Just helping.
She believed in being kind, loving fiercely and having fun.
Patrice had a difficult life filled with many trials and tribulations. No matter what life
threw at her, though, she never gave up. She never stopped being kind and loving, and
she never stopped praying to God. Patrice will be dearly missed. We mourn not just her
death but everything she missed and will miss; the people her children have become,
the grandchildren she will never know, and the healing that seemed just around the
corner for her. Patrice was taken from this world all too soon, but we believe she is with
her Heavenly Father, her father John, brother Robert, and her other loved ones who
have passed on before her. We believe that she is no longer in pain and that she has
found peace.
