Penny Lee Corbett Soto, passed away on November 8, 2025, at her home in Brigham City, Utah. She was born on September 2, 1957. The daughter of Bonnie Jean Bywater and Jack Barnes Corbett in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Penny was a beloved individual, known for her funny and lively spirit, often described as the life of the party, and truly one of a kind. Penny will be remembered for her selfless and thoughtful nature, which touched the lives of many.
Her vibrant personality was matched by her creativity and passion for crafting. Penny had a keen interest in gathering rocks wherever she went. Her love of crystals and bead crafting brought joy not only to herself but also to those around her. Penny was skilled in making decorative crystal sun catchers, bracelets and her therapeutic coloring pages. Penny loved making Christmas candy and enjoyed helping cook for the holidays, always ensuring that those she loved were surrounded by warmth and joy. She had a gentle way of picking flowers, often gathering blooms from her neighbors.
Penny was deeply devoted to her grandkids and great grandkids, showering them with love and affection that will be cherished forever.
Penny Lee Corbett Soto leaves behind a legacy filled with laughter, creativity, and a profound love for her family. As we remember her, we celebrate the indelible mark she made in the hearts of all who knew her. Her spirit will continue to inspire those who are fortunate enough to carry her memories forward.
She is survived by her children, Diane (Wilfred) Kroeger, Johnny (Tiffin) Soto and Jenny Bouck, five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Also survived by her siblings, Eddie (Jed) Corbett, Denise (Kevin) Roche, Tresea (Carl) Layton and Teri Nelson.
Preceded in death by her parents, siblings, Steven Corbett, George Corbett and Christy Jensen and infant brother Jack Corbett.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, November 14, 2025 from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the Eagles Lodge, 912 N. Main Street, Brigham City, Utah.
