Raymond Duane Davis

January 3, 1935 — July 4, 2008

OGDEN- Raymond Duane Davis, loving husband and patient father passed away July 4, 2008 in Ogden, UT. of Liver Failure and complications of Diabetes. Ray suffered from hearing loss for twenty-five years. He was born January 3, 1935, to Harry and Daisy Hansen Davis in Ogden, UT. Raymond was raised in the Ogden area and Howell, UT. He lived in Howell, Ogden, Roy, West Haven and No. Ogden.

He married Shirley Fowler in 1953 and they later divorced. Raymond married Jean Mifflin in the Salt Lake Temple February, 1961.

Raymond served in the U.S. Army from 1955-1957 in Korea, as an E-4. He was employed at Hill Air Force Base in 1952, as a specialist in the F4 and F16 program. He retired in March, 1993 after forty-one years of devoted service as an Inventory Specialist and Management.

He retired from the U.S. Air Force Reserves after twenty years of service as a Msgt. in January 1995. He also served two three months tours in Vietnam helping in the warehouse in Bien Hoa and Cameron Bay as a govt. civilian employee in 1967-1968. He earned his GED while in the army and earned his Bachelor Degree in logistics at Weber State University in 1976.

Raymond was an avid hunter, fisherman and loved camping in the outdoors and loved gardening. Ray also enjoyed baseball, bowling and was a" FORD" man. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

He is survived by his wife Jean; daughter Dixie Call of Ogden, son Scott (Nanette) Davis of Ogden; Rajeana (Marshall) Tate of Salt Lake City; Dawna (John) Leedom of McCall, ID; Janna (Russel)) Coley of Farr West; also survived by brothers; Frank (Afton) Davis of Ogden, Fred (Sheila) Davis, of CA. , Edward Davis of Ogden, Brothers-in-law Morgan, Max (Kay), Bart (Barbara) Mifflin of Ogden. Also survived by sixteen grandchildren; Lacee, Abbi, Cooper "T" Call; Melinda, Scott B. (Amber), Russell, Shawn, Lindsay Davis; Vernon Royal & Remington Wells; Nayomee (Doug) Robertson; Brittney, J.D. Leedom; R.J. Coley. three-great-grandchildren; Saigen, Jaiden, Daxton Davis. step-grandchildren, Kennedy Coley; Austin, Hailey, Carson, Colter Tate.

Raymond was preceded in death by his parents; parents-in-law, daughter Marinda and sisters-in-law Judy and Francoise Mifflin and one step-granddaughter Morgan Coley.
