It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Rodney Arvel Fowers, a cherished son, brother, father, grandfather, and friend. He left us on this day, February 7, 2026, surrounded by the love that he cultivated throughout his life.
Rodney was born to Donald J. and Peggy Fowers. He leaves behind a close-knit family: brothers Richard and Robert Fowers; sisters Janet Garcia, Lynette Fowers, and Debbie Sturavant. Rodney was preceded in death by his siblings Jackie, Doug, and Jeannie, who welcomed him with open arms.
Rodney was first married to Trudy Schaaf and had 2 children, Kristi Lyn Fowers and Andrew Keene Fowers. He was a proud grandfather to four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Following their divorce, he had a short marriage to Julia Raider. His heart overflowed with love for his family, including his step-sons from his beautiful 31-year relationship and marriage to Patsy Trueba Fowers. He also cherished his "niblings," showering his many nieces and nephews with unwavering affection.
Throughout his life, Rodney worked as a roofer with several esteemed companies, including Pioneer Roof and Reddit Roofing Co., and he fondly remembered the joy of working alongside his dear friend Bob Leishman. He also contributed his skills in maintenance at Budget Inn.
Rodney had an unbridled passion for fishing, sharing countless joyful moments by the water with his brother Jackie and father-in-law Rocky Trueba. He was known for his generous spirit and kindness; it was not uncommon for him to give his last five dollars to those in need. His empathy and compassion have made a lasting impact on all who knew him.
As we bid farewell to Rodney, who will forever hold a special place in our hearts, we extend our deepest gratitude to all the caregivers and hospice workers who tended to him with such compassion during his final days. A heartfelt thank you to Johnny and Serena Fowers for their unwavering support; your kindness has not gone unnoticed.
In our prayers, we ask God to bless Rodney, whose presence will be profoundly missed but whose spirit will continue to inspire love and kindness in our lives. He may have left this world, but he remains forever in our hearts.
