Rodney Arvel Fowers, age 71, was born on January 16, 1955, to Donald Fowers and Margaret Peggy Elizabeth Jordan Fowers.
Rodney was raised in Ogden and, though he lived in several places throughout his childhood, he always considered his home on 9th and Grant to be especially meaningful. He shared his early years with his siblings: Jackie Fowers, Richard Fowers, Doug Fowers, Robert Fowers, Lynette Fowers, Jeannie Fowers, Debbie Fowers, and Janet Garcia.
Rodney worked in construction for much of his life, taking great pride in his work. Of all his jobs, he was most passionate about his time with Red Roofing and Construction Company, His boss, Blaine Redd, was more than an employer, he was family. As were many of lasting friendships he had built. Rodney also spent time doing maintenance work for local motels.
Rodney loved listening to Western Music. He enjoyed having BBQ’s with his loved ones. He also loved fishing, camping and bike riding. We want to celebrate all the good times we have had with him.
He was married for six years to Julia Fowers and had a daughter Kristy, whom he loved very much. Rodney was a strong believer in God and Jesus. Rodney was a morning person who loved his coffee and daily news before work. He went on many adventures in Ogden, walking down the street with his functional bike right next to him, mainly in his later days.
The family would like to help thank those who have helped care for Rodney, his care workers and his nephew and his wife John and Sabrina Fowers.
This is a very difficult time for our family. Donations to assist with Rodney’s cremation expenses would be greatly appreciated. Donations may be made by calling Aaron’s Mortuary of Brigham City 435-295-5505 or to John Fowers Venmo @johnfowers.
