Ronald Clair Carter

Ronald Clair Carter, 73, peacefully passed away in his sleep on Dec 23, 2017 in So. Ogden, Utah. He was born March 26, 1944 in Salt Lake City Utah, the son of Harold R. and Bettie J. Carter.

Ron started his career into long haul truck driving at age 16 until he was forced to retire at 62 for health reasons. He loved those big trucks and big trains, anything that had that driving force of a diesel engine. His greatest love was for his family and children, always thinking of others and doing for others every chance he could. He was very kind, very giving even when there was nothing for him to give, family was always first.

Ron is a born again Christian believing in God, doing the right thing and trusting the good he saw in others. He has touched many family and friends lives with his smile and funny stories.

Ron is survived by his wife, Patricia M. Carter; brother, Richard L.;  children: William L., Aaron M., Michelle M., JoAnne; 15 grandchildren and 5 great -randchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Bettie Carter; sister, Charlynn A.; brothers, Cory and Harold “Roger;” and children, Scott C. and Rhonda C.

Memorial services will be held on Thursday,  January 4, 2018 from 6 to 8 pm at Aaron’s Mortuary, 496 24th Street, Ogden, Utah 84401 where family and friends may attend.
