Listen to Obituary

Layton, UT – Ronald Max Price returned to his Heavenly Father on September 13, 2025, surrounded by loving family members at his home. Ron loved Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. He served in many callings in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The light of his life was his lovely wife, Lois.

He was known as an adventurer and a brilliant Computer Scientist. One of his 1st jobs was painting houses for his father, who owned a construction company. After high school, he entered computer programming training at HAFB, where he advanced through the ranks. Meanwhile, he simultaneously enlisted in the Utah Army National Guard and rose to the rank of Sergeant. He served overseas in the Philippines, where he was the main programmer for the payroll system at a major US military installation. Upon returning, he was reinstated and promoted to a senior position in the large computer division. At 49, Ron retired, but continued his computer-related career by contracting with the base, teaching Microsoft Office suite processing, while selling, repairing, and troubleshooting PC's.

He was well-regarded for his deep affection for his wife and family. Ron enjoyed many hobbies, including skydiving, motocross and desert racing, deer hunting, scuba diving, shark hunting, native Negrito survival training, seashell collecting, camping, drag racing, street motorcycles, Corvettes, turbo Cadillacs, and a high end audio equipment enthusiast. He played the guitar and loved to dance with his eternal partner and wife, Lois.

Ron is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Lois Marion Walker Price; his parents, Max Swenson Price and Kathryne Kammeyer Price; his granddaughters, Rebecca and Stephanie, and his great-grandson, Jordan Price. He is survived by his two children, Regina and Gregory; his siblings: Valoy, Richard, Dennis, and Steve. He has 10 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren, as well as many cousins, nephews, and nieces.

We would like to express special thanks to the Nurses, especially Morgan Price; Caregivers and “Angels:” Angie Price Inman, Brian Kaipainen, Sydney Kaipainen, and others who cared for Ron this past year.
