Ruby Nell Scoggin

May 21, 1934 — July 31, 2021

Ruby Nell Wall Scoggin passed away on Saturday, July 31, 2021, surrounded by her loving family.  She was born May 21, 1934, in Yoakum, Texas, to Grady Levi Wall and Burl Mayes Wall. She had been a resident at the Auberge Assisted Living in Ogden, Utah, for seven years where she was treated like family.

Ruby was a member of the Westwood Baptist Church in Palestine, Texas, where she had many friends.  She loved spending time with her family who will miss her sweet soul deeply.

She is preceded in death by her parents and husband James Carrol Scoggin; Kathy Lynn Townley Duncan, daughter; Lisa Sue Scoggin, stepdaughter. She is survived by Teresa Pippin (husband Bill), Laurie Shingle (husband Steve), Rodney Duncan son-in-law; stepsons, Gary David Scoggin (wife Amanda), James C. Scoggin Jr. (wife Missy), Richard O. Scoggin (wife Kim); brothers Nelson Leo Wall (wife Delores), Douglas Norman Wall (wife Barbara); grandchildren, Brittni Shingle (Jesse Ainscough), Lindsey Shingle, Brianna Duncan; step-grandchildren Shannon Scoggin Rowe (husband Trey), Amy Scoggin Doss (husband Justin), Brooks Scoggin (wife Anna-Christen), Kevin Scoggin (wife Sarah), Chelsea Scoggin Fikac (husband Jerod), Gary Scoggin Jr. (wife Mackenzie), Gunnar Scoggin, Gretchen Scoggin, and Tyler Scoggin (wife Alexa); great-grandchildren Paislee Shingle and Spencer Bashford-Shingle, and 16 step-great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at the Attoyac Baptist Church Cemetery in San Augustine, Texas, at a date to be determined.
