Sally Ann Marietti

December 14, 1932 — September 1, 2022

Sally Ann Marietti, 89, of Ogden, Utah passed away on Thursday, September 1, 2022, surrounded by her family.

She was born in Ogden, Utah, December 14, 1932, to Dora Anema and Roy C Phipps. She graduated from Ogden High School in 1951. She met the love of her life, Gerald (Jerry) Wilfred Marietti, and were married on October 30, 1951, in Ishpeming, MI. They spent 66 wonderful years together before Jerry passed away on March 23, 2017.

She enjoyed gardening and took pleasure in growing beautiful flowers. Sally was meticulous in her home and in her appearance. Her greatest joy in life, however, came from her family. She loved to cook for them. Her delicious pasty was a family favorite. There was always a cold Shasta in the fridge and a cookie in the jar. No one ever knocked on her door. It was always open, and everyone was welcome.

Sally is survived by her children: Jerry (Darcia) Marietti, North Ogden, Bruce (deceased) (Kathy) Marietti, Farr West, Brian (RaNae) Marietti, Roy, Dennis (Diane) Marietti, North Ogden, Patty (Brad) Moore, Roy; 16 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild; 3 sisters: Shirley (Dick) Lamon, Karen Williams, Janice Woolsey, Rita (Roy) Walker; brother, Clark Phipps.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry; son, Bruce; parents; brother, Wilford Moore; and numerous in-laws.

A graveside service will be held at Evergreen Cemetery, 100 Monroe Blvd, on Tuesday, September 20th at 10:30am. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, September 24, 2022, from 5-7:30pm at 2268 N. 2475 W, Farr West, UT.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Our House Assisted Living Center and Rachel and numerous CNA’s with Bristol Hospice for their compassion and care.
