Sally Janet Schroeder

September 26, 1947 — March 25, 2024

In loving memory of Sally Janet Schroeder (Stuker).

Born: September 26, 1947, in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho to Christian Stuker and Era Lena Stuker (Scarborough). She spent her early childhood there in the city by the lake.  Her father moved the family to Logan, Utah, when she was 12 years old where she met her future husband.  She married Robert Neil Schroeder on February 6, 1961. They had 11 children. She often spoke of the jewels in her crown - her children as they were more priceless than any rubies, diamonds, gold, or silver.

She made many friends as she moved from place to place with her growing family.  The young family started out living with her husband’s family.  Later, the young couple moved to Clearfield, Utah, and Ogden, Utah, before building a house in Perry, Utah.  Then moving to Brigham City, Utah, and then again to Ogden, Utah. Later, the family moved two more times – to Riverdale, Utah, and Layton, Utah.

Sally loved game nights with her family, playing cards, and board games.  She enjoyed listening to good music and reading books.  Her family was important to her, and she loved talking to them whenever she could.  She loved animals.  Everywhere she lived, she collected animals; specifically, cats and parakeets.  We are sure her army of pets will be there to greet her along with beloved family members who have passed to the other side.   Sally had a deep and abiding faith in God.  She often said she felt God’s love for her and her family.

She lived a life of service to her family and friends.  In every place they lived, Sally looked out for those in need of a friend, a smile, a warm hug, or a meal.  She, along with her husband, served those around them by bringing in meals and spending time with them.  She was a loving friend, daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.  Her family and friends will miss her dearly.

Sally is survived by her sisters and brother, Lula Poulton (Stuker), Lennie Semonin (Stuker), Sharon Peery (Stuker), and Earl Stuker; her children, R. Neil Schroeder, Jr., Denise Ang (Schroeder), Ann Robinette (Schroeder), Eric Schroeder, Stephanie Schroeder, Christian Schroeder, Lisa Webb (Schroeder), Sarah Ostrin (Schroeder), Seth Schroeder, Julie Lundberg (Schroeder); and her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Neil Schroeder; her daughter, Laura Kolb (Schroeder); and her parents and siblings, Christian and Era Stuker (Scarborough), Herman Stuker, Gerald Stuker, Catherine Arvanitis (Stuker), Irvin Stuker, Celia Teter (Stuker), and Kenneth Stuker.

The family is very grateful for the staff at The Terrace at Mount Ogden nursing home for watching over and caring for Sally.
