Sandy always had a fun and mischievous personality when we were growing up in Liberty. But of course 3of sisters were full of fun and mischievous! Can't imagine what it was like in the house, except fun fun memories. Teddie, I'm so sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Denise Calder Powell

To the Hawkes family,

Russell and Greg, it is with deep sadness that we have just read of your mother's passing today. I feel it a privilege to have known your mom as long as I did, and always enjoyed talking to and playing softball with her. We would walk at nights and jabber about anything and everything under the stars while laughing at ourselves in between. Sandy, you were so fun to be around! May each of you find peace in your own way knowing that your mother is with other loved ones she hasn't seen for some time. Continue to do your best in honoring her as she did you! She loved you two dearly! We will be out of town, unable to mourn with your family, but know that we are with you in our prayers. All our love!

My dear sweet Sandy, I am so glad I got to spend some of my life with you in it. You were always so fun and cheery. When I would come over and spend time with one of my best friends Teddie, you were always happy, cheerful and full of fun. You would play games with us and always made us laugh. What great times!
I also remember on the bus going to school from Liberty to Huntsville, you and my brother Mike would be snogging all the way there and back. You would put a coat over your heads to no one could really see you making out, but we knew what you were doing. Hahaha
Love you girl! Gods speed
