Scott Keller, 58, Roy, Utah. He died on January 25, 2026 trying to protect others.
Born April 7, 1967 in Ogden, Utah to parents Kenneth and LaRee Keller. He was the youngest and only boy of the four children they had together.
Many people loved him and even more were annoyed by him. He was a career software engineer and a successful and charitable business owner who was seen as a father figure by a great many of his employees and friends.
He spent his life working, golfing, and watching sports. He was neighborly to a fault. He loved to talk and think about religion, and we sincerely hope he has all the answers he was looking for. He was a husband, father, and papaw who became a better person every year. He was taken from us far too soon.
He is preceded in death by his mother LaRee, sister Lisa Graham, and his dog Cooper whose recent death left him forever changed.
He is survived by his father Kenneth (Jeanie); his siblings : Judy Procter (Marv), Kathy Palen (Tim), Gary Nielsen (Julianne) and Marilyn Baldonado; his wife Janina who he married in 1989 and spent 36 years annoying; and his three children: Kassidy (Mason), Landon (Ellie), and McKall (Nate) to which he did the same. He also leaves behind a granddaughter Henley who he'd give the world to and a grandson Hudson on the way.
At his request, the family will not be holding a funeral and instead suggest honoring him by taking $100 to your nearest casino, putting it all on red, and letting it ruin your night when you lose, as he so often did.
In the words of his granddaughter, "I'll be brave and we can love and miss him all the days."
