Sean S Richards

Sean S. Richards, our much loved and admired son, brother, father, uncle, and friend, passed away unexpectedly early on Sunday, Jan. 17, 2021 in Layton, UT.  Sean was born in Logan, UT. Oct. 9, 1965 to Stephen and Bona Jo Richards. He attended elementary school in Brigham City, UT., and graduated from Box Elder High School in 1983. He also attended Utah State University. He lived in Clinton, UT., and was employed by Smiths Warehouse for 35 yrs. in Layton. Sean loved cars, loved working on them, and he was especially proud of his 1968 Cougar that he restored. He also loved to hunt, and had been doing that since he was very young. He was an avid hunter, hunting deer, bear, and elk. He was also interested and performed taxidermy for his own mounts and for many other people. He was admired by family and friends for his friendship, loyalty, and kindness. He will be greatly missed by all who associated with him.

Sean is survived by his son Christopher, Clinton, UT., his father, Stephen(Pamela) Richards, West Haven, UT, sister, Jennifer Combs, Clinton, UT., and nieces, Kira, Mikhelle and nephew T.J., who loved him dearly. He was preceded in death by his mother, Bona Jo. The family would like to thank Nancy Richins for her care and assistance during the difficult time.  Per Sean’s request, there will be no services held.

So sorry to hear about Sean passing, we were very good childhood friends. We went to school together, played at each other houses, attended primary together and more.... He was a great guy! My condolences to his family.

Sean was one of the kindest and most soft spoken people I have ever known.. He was like a ministering angel here on earth...When my husband was bed ridden after surgery, Sean would go shopping and bring in meals for him.just like our son Tom. He did it without fanfare or need of a thank you...It was just the way he was. .He was like a brother to our children, He was always at every family event with a warm greeting to everyone...He will be sorely missed by all those who knew and loved him....The family will set a chair by the fire pit for you Sean whenever we go camping

Sean and I were roommates and went to school together.
He loved his 67 Cougar and rightfully so.
He put a lot of time and work into it.
He had a great sense of humor, especially when it came to teasing with me.
I will miss him and never forget him.
We never got in touch since 1985, but I never forgot what a great friend he was.
Ill miss you brother. Rest In Peace, with love.

What a sad day. I worked with Sean many years at Smith's. He was a good man. Had a great work ethic and was easy to get along with. My heart and prayers go out to the family.

I moved to Brigham City in 4th grade and Sean was my closest friend growing up. We played sports together, hung out together, and shared alot of happy memories. I am very sadden by his passing. May Sean rest in peace for eternity.

Sean was kind and respectful. I know he will be greatly missed by those who knew him best and cherished him in their hearts, so to you I extend my deepest condolences. May the sadness of today turn to tomorrow's joy as we hope for a better future for all. Isaiah 26:19; Psalms 37:29
