Shannon Leigh Gilbert

Shannon Leigh Gilbert, 66, of Ogden, UT, passed away peacefully on February 21, 2026.

Born on November 10, 1959, in El Paso, Texas, to Ray Gilbert and Jeanne Harrick, Shannon was a woman who found profound tranquility through her art. She dedicated her professional life to the customer care industry and was a devoted mother to her children.

Life & Passions

Artistry: Shannon was uniquely talented at creating intricate art using paint, markers, and unconventional tools like toothpicks.

The Outdoors: She found joy in camping, hiking, and swimming at the lake.

Support: Throughout her life, she shared a deep, enduring bond with her lifelong friend, Reyes Canales.

Family

Shannon is survived by her husband, Stephen Max Alvey Jr., and her daughter, Samantha Lauren Gilbert (Danny Forsberg). She is also survived by her stepchildren: Rebecca Wood (Jay Wood), Dana Alvey, Joshua Alvey, along with Stephen C. and Patricia (from Stephen's previous marriage). She was the proud "Gram" to Paris and Lilly Alvey (Dana), and several other grandchildren.
