It is with deep love and sadness that we announce the passing of Shauna Gulbranson Judkins, age 72. Shauna passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of April 14, 2026, in the loving arms of her daughter.
Born on February 2, 1954, in Ogden, Utah, to James and Patricia Murray Gulbranson, Shauna grew up in Clearfield and graduated from Clearfield High School in 1972. Shortly after graduation, she began a career as an Executive Assistant at Hill Air Force Base, later transitioning to the hospitality service industry, where she developed some of her closest friendships. Some of her fondest memories were summers spent with family camping in Island Park, Idaho, and her many trips to Virginia to visit her daughter and grandchildren.
Shauna was truly unforgettable—warm, sincere, and effortlessly funny. Her quick wit and unique personality could brighten any day. She possessed a quiet strength, facing life’s challenges with resilience and grace. One of her greatest gifts was the way she easily connected with others; she had a way of turning strangers into lifelong friends through her kindness and making everyone feel loved.
Above all, Shauna’s greatest love was her family. Her daughter, Calli, was her pride and joy, and the two shared a bond built on unconditional love. Her granddaughters—Jayci, Saydi, and Jerzi—were her most precious treasures, and she adored each one of them dearly. Her great-grandson, Colson, was a shining light in her life who brought her immense happiness. She also held a very special place in her heart for her son-in-law, Andy, alongside her grandsons, Ashton and Logan.
While we mourn her loss, we find peace knowing she is now reunited in heaven with her father and her beloved little sister, Melinda.
Melinda held an irreplaceable place in her heart and she carried that love with her always. Shauna also shared a close bond with her brother, Dennis; their relationship was filled with life long friendship, laughter and a connection that remained strong through every chapter of her life - til the very end. She will also be missed by her loving mother with whom she shared a very special bond. Living together for the past 23 years, they created memories of love, laughter and quiet moments. This period of her life was some of her happiest times. She also had a special place in her heart for her sister-in-law, Susan, and her nieces and nephew: Michelle, Bryce, and Stephanie.
Mom, I hope you know how deeply you are loved. I will carry you with me in everything I do and miss you more than words can say. I love you forever.
Shauna was preceded in death by her father, James, and her little sister, Melinda. She is survived by her loving mother, Patricia; her daughter, Calli (Andy); granddaughters Jayci (Michael), Saydi, and Jerzi; grandsons Ashton (and his three children) and Logan (Aubrey) (and their five children); and her great-grandson, Colson. She is also survived by her brother, Dennis (Susan), and their children, Michelle, Bryce, Stephanie, and their families.
The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the nurses and staff for their kindness, support and care during her final years.
