Skye Stefen Peterson

September 25, 1984 — August 14, 2009

A precious soul, Skye Stefen Peterson entered this world on September 25, 1984. A journey that was to short. On August 14, 2009 his heart stopped beating because of his addiction to drugs.

Before drugs, Skye was a happy go lucky kid, he enjoyed being with friends and family. His cute nature and infectious smile would light up any room. He loved adventure and the outdoors.

He knows now that even though he was drawn away from his family, they were never giving up hope on him finding his way back. He was a sweet kid that gave us such wonderful memories and that we will treasure. Our hearts are breaking but we know he's okay because he's in the loving arms of his grandpa Paul R. Peterson, and again his loving companion Lilly, his dog by his side.

When Sky found out he was going to be a dad, he was scared and worried about being able to be the great dad he wanted to be. On October 13, 2008 his precious son Stefen (Bobbles) EJ Peterson was born. Skye's fears left when he looked at his son and the greatest journey of his life began, fatherhood. Bobbles little face would light up when his daddy entered the room or heard his daddy's voice.

As a father, Skye began to understand the sacrifices of love his mother made, he now understood love is expressed in so many different ways and that his mother loved him completely and totally, and had been showing it in a trillion ways throughout his life.

Skye and his mom were talking recently about this and that, like they do and Skye told her he really respected his stepfather Don, and again told her he was a "wonderful guy for her". So we know Skye won't worry about his mom because Don will give her all his strength, as she leans on him to get her through her heart break and grief.

Skye is survived by his son Stefen (Bobbles) EJ Peterson, his mother Sandra Bearce, step dad Don Bearce, father James S. Reeder, his beloved grandma Irma Peterson who adored him, and he adored her. He is also survived by his sisters; Jamie, Shylee and Kaydee, brother Josh, special uncle Rick Elson, as well as his girl friend, (Bobbles mother) Valerie Perez. He was truly loved by his aunts and many cousins who were all at his bedside, and are grieving deeply, we love you and will miss you forever. Your bumpy road gave you a hell of a ride, it's smooth sailing now, love and kiss' from us all.

A special thanks to the Intensive Care Unit at McKay Hospital and the EMT's who brought him back to us for a short time. Also thanks to his cousins who helped so much Bambi Jean and William.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 19, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. - First United Methodist Church, 1339 W. 400 No. Slaterville, Utah. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service.

Cremation is under the direction of Aarons Mortuary & Crematory.
