Spencer Michael Johnson, 38, of Clearfield City, Utah, passed away peacefully on October 11, 2025, after a courageous lifelong battle with epilepsy.

Born in 1986 to Michael and Shelly Johnson, Spencer was a radiant soul whose creativity and generosity touched everyone he met. Despite facing significant health challenges throughout his life, including epilepsy, anxiety, and schizophrenia, Spencer’s spirit was defined by his artistry, his immense love for others, and his unwavering kindness.

A gifted artist, Spencer expressed himself through various mediums. He created intricate abstract drawings inspired by history and theology, which he would masterfully enhance into digital works of art. He also possessed a unique talent for woodworking, hand-carving beautiful wands and walking sticks. His greatest joy came from giving these creations away to family, friends, and even strangers, as his true passion was bringing smiles to others.

His love for music was boundless, starting with guitar and drums before expanding to a collection of unique instruments from around the world, including Australian Didgeridoos and Romanian Kaval flutes. He loved mastering each instrument, and his beautiful music was a gift to all who heard it.

Spencer’s deep friendships were a source of great joy, and he considered his childhood friends to be family. He also served a mission for his church in Jamestown, Pittsburgh, where he touched many lives. At the heart of his world was his family. He began every morning with a phone call to his mom, Shelly, to tell her he loved her. Her loving advice to him was always to "find someone to make a difference in their life today."

Spencer’s generosity was legendary; he was the kind of person who would give the shirt off his back to help someone in need, even if it meant he would go without.

He is survived by his loving parents, Michael and Shelly Johnson; his siblings: Mitchell Johnson, Preston (Presley) Johnson, and Makellun (Jasmine) Johnson; his cherished nephew, Keaton; and his grandmothers, Susan Simmons and Bonnie Johnson.

He is preceded in death by his beloved Yorkie service dog, Trillion, his faithful companion.

Spencer’s legacy is one of art, music, and unconditional love. He taught us that we can do hard things and that the greatest purpose in life is to bring joy to others.
