Susan Gale Klein

Susan Gale Miller Klein – January 11, 1948 – August 10, 2019

Susan Klein passed away due to Pneumonia at McKay-Dee Hospital on August 10, 2019, surrounded by those who loved her best.  She was born on January 11, 1948, to Arthur Raymond and Marie Anna Miller in Ogden, UT.  Susan attended school in Ogden, graduating from Ben Lomond High School.  She married John Charles Klein and had two daughters.  She and John later divorced, and Susan dedicated her life to raising her girls, Lisa and Sherry.

For many years, Susan ran in-home daycare where she loved each child as much as she loved her girls. Over the years, she took care of many kids and continued to stay in contact with many of them, long after they were grown and had children of their own.  She later worked at TAS Tire and Auto in Ogden doing bookkeeping and working with customers.  She loved working at the shop, where she supplied the guys with candy and treats.  She made friends wherever she went and one of her favorite things was to spend time talking with people and getting to know them.

She is survived by her daughters Lisa Savage (Daniel Muhlestein) and Sherry Klein (Adam Montoya), her beloved grandchildren, Veronica Savage, Devin Savage (Ana Flores) Addison Savage, Johnathon Payton and Jaedon Montoya. She is also survived by her brother Michael Miller and sisters, Nora Bangerter and Ethel Wimmer. Mom always felt that family wasn’t just the people you were related to, and over the years our family expanded to include John and Sylvia Savage and their children Brent and Lori, whom she loved dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Mary Larison and brothers David Miller and James Miller.

Our mommy was our best friend, we spent our days being loved and cherished.  A huge hole has been left in our hearts with her passing.  Lisa and Sherry would like to thank all those who came to see Mom in her final days and for the love and support we received from our friends and family during this time. We would like to thank the ICU staff at McKay-Dee Hospital and Crestwood Care Center for the loving care she received.

An Open House will be held on Sunday, September 8, 2019 at Harley & Buck’s Restaurant, 2432 Washington Blvd. Ogden UT 84401 from 3:00 pm to 7:30 pm.

Tris, thank you!! I don't know how I'm just seeing this. Hope you're doing well. It's been years since we last talked. Are you still in Montana?

Oh Zelda, I'm so sorry you didn't know. It would have been great to see you and give you a hug. I hope things are going well for you. We always had the best time with your kids!! So much fun!!! She loved them as if they were her own. I'd like to think that Kyle was there to greet her with a great big hug & is showing her around the place. His name was a constant around here over the years. Whenever baby sitting stories came up, there were always several of Kyle. Love you always, Sherry

Susan was the most wonderfulest lady I have ever known. She was always cheerful and never had a bad thing to say. She did a wonderful job raising my kids, her grand babies. She also took care of so many other kids as well. She was well loved and will be sorely missed! We will keep your candy buckets full in your memory.

I miss your Mom everyday. My mom and I enjoyed visiting with her during our meals at CRESTWOOD. Also playing Frankie and bingo with her. We had such fun with a bubble blower watching the huge bubbles fly through the air. Susan and I were close in age. We went to Mt Fort. We decided if we would have met each other we would have been best friends.Praying for all of you.
