Suzanne Hess

Suzanne Hess was born on June 20, 1958, in Ogden, Utah to Paul & Carol Hodgson. She attended Ogden High School where she graduated Salutatorian, and later attended the OWATC for her Associate’s in Computer Technology and thereafter Weber State University to complete her Bachelor’s degree in the same field.

She is survived by her son & daughter in law, Jaden & McKenna Hodgson; her brothers and sister-in-law: Kevin, Michael, and Darin & DeDawn Hodgson; her niece and nephew, Collin & Kelsey Hodgson; and her extended Andrascik family.

Suzanne worked in IT for the Utah Schools for the Deaf and the Blind for a majority of her career and was very proud of her tenure in the Modeling field, as well as her time as a fine dining waitress at La Caille French Restaurant.

Suzanne enjoyed many years of gardening, a love she inherited from her father, Paul. She loved spending time with family & neighbors, as well as her closest friends who stuck by her since their childhood.

Most of all, she loved being a mother to her son, Jaden. Suzanne was a kind and generous soul, who became a second mother to many of her son’s friends, as well as the kids of the neighborhood. Everyone who met Suzanne would tell you about her energetic friendliness, and her ability to talk your ear off for hours, while also being a perfect ear to listen and shoulder to cry on. She was a deeply caring individual who would always speak her mind, but would also talk with you about any subject, providing you had the time. She was always the first to offer her help, even if it meant she had to go without.

She passed away peacefully in her sleep at home surrounded by all the pets she adored, and down the hall from her wonderful brother, Mike. Suzanne Hess truly was an exceptional woman, who will be cherished forever by those who knew her and forever mourned by those she left behind to be with our Lord, as well as her parents, Paul & Carol and best friend, Jodie.
