Thomas Howard Smith, Jr

January 16, 1943 — November 16, 2023

We are heartbroken to announce the death of our
father, Thomas H. Smith Jr. He passed away
peacefully at the age of 80 on November 16, 2023,
surrounded by family.
Our dad enjoyed everything Old Western, singing
and performing, flying with Civil Air Patrol, being part
of any local Ham Radio club. He achieved the
Continents of the World Award with his Ham Radio
(which means: successfully completing two way
communication with amateur stations in each of the
six continental zone of the world) and then
demonstrated a mastery of communications skills for
two -way contact with stations in North America.
St. George had a special place in his heart and
loved everything it has to offer. He loved being part of

the Dixie 4 wheel drive club, volunteering with
CERT and taking pictures. We can’t forget him
telling stories of working at Alta Ski Resort as a cook
and skiing on his home made skies. Tom always
tried to bring a smile to everyones face and was a
master at telling dad jokes.
He leaves behind Thomas III (son), Brian (son),
Darlene (Paul) (Daughter), Gary (Madison)
(Grandson) and Oliver, Milo, Theodore and Edward
(Great Grandsons), Freya (Granddaughter), Nephi
(Grandson), Nettie (Granddaughter), Kevin
(Meghan) (son), Tayt and Atreyu (Grandsons), Sarah
(Jordan)(Daughter), Fischer, Bridger, Oquirrh, Chae,
and Azure (Grandchildren), Steven (Cassie) (Son),

significant other Colleen, Bruce (Linda) (Brother)
and Richard (Brother).
He is predeceased in death by Leaone (Mother),
