Valoy Hanney Reeder

November 10, 1931 — January 3, 2023

Valoy Reeder passed away January 3, 2023.  She was born November 10, 1931, in Murray, Utah to Herbert and Thelma Hanney.  She was raised in Peterson, Utah, attended schools in Morgan, then moved to Sunset and attended Davis High where she met Keith Reeder.  They were later married on January 24, 1950 and lived happily past their 72nd Anniversary.

After marrying in 1950, they lived briefly in Clearfield, Ogden, and SLC until moving to Roy in 1952. They had their first son, Steve, while living in a small 3 room house. Keith helped build their first house that was later turned into a garage. In 1954 their daughter Linda was born and their son Ken in 1958. Then in 1962, Keith built his home in Kanesville, Ut, where they spent the rest of Valoy's life.

They loved to travel and have passed that onto all their children. They first started with tents and cookstoves then later to trucks and campers, and a very memorable full service up passenger train trip to Denver in '68, as Keith new passenger trains were short lived. After their kids grew, they purchased a motor home and traveled a good part of the country with family and two new granddaughters born in 1979 and 1981. Later in life they enjoyed home life and the birth of four more great-grandchildren.

Valoy is survived by her husband Keith, her daughter Linda, son Ken (Tina), granddaughter Tia (Chad) Harris; 4 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her son Steve and granddaughter April.
