Hal Berrett

HARRISVILLE-Hal left this earth to join his mother and father, July 18, 2009 of non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma. He was born January 29, 1940 to Halvor and Hazel Berrett in Salt Lake City.

Hal grew up in Ogden Canyon graduating from Weber High School. He then joined the Marine Corps serving several years. He graduated from Utah State University where he met and married Joyce Bowers. Together they had two beautiful daughters. After twenty-three years of marriage they divorced, but Joyce is still very much a part of our family.

In 1994 Hal married Paula (Parkinson) Davies where he added her two sons to his life.

Hal taught drama for seventeen years in Hawaii, and then returned to Utah. He worked for Ogden School District, and retired from Jordan School District.

He loved fly fishing, camping, and was known by his family as the "Master Camper." He had a love for cars especially Jaguars and Alfa Romeos.

Hal will be missed by his wife Paula, daughters; Halie (Robert) Vaughan, and Kris Shields, his stepsons; Mike (Heather) Davies, and Matt (Mandie) Davies, eleven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, and last but not least his faithful dog Mugs.

Hal has requested a private memorial.
