Our Wil Peacefully passed away on Friday, January 16, 2026, @12:45pm in his home, surrounded by his loving family. He is no longer suffering and is no longer in pain. He has both of his legs and is now walking with Jesus.

Wil was born on November 11, 1947 in Houston, Texas to Rose and Wilbur Thomas Elkins Sr. His birth name was Wilbur Thomas Elkins Jr.
Later in life Wil was adopted to Rose and James Edward Farrell.

Wil grew up in the military world. He served his Country in the United States Army. He then went on to building a long and respected career, as a Heavy Machinery Mechanic at Hill Air Force Base and also 5 years at The Naval Base in Panama City Beach, Florida. Then back to Hill Air Force Base where he was known for his dedication and strong work ethic and deep love for his Country. He received so many awards thru out his career. Retiring after 30 yrs of service.

Wil Married Katie and together they had two Beautiful daughters Cassie and Jackie after 5 yrs it sadly ended.

On July 4, 1994 Wil married the love of his life, his best friend and soul mate Karen Strang. He lovingly embraced Karen's children Josh and Joivana. Our family was rooted in love and a long time commitment.

Wil loved the outdoors, he loved camping and fishing but most of all he loved riding his Harley and was proud to be apart of many different groups to then becoming a solo rider in the last 10 yrs of his life.

His all time favorite was his grandchildren they gave him hope, they gave him love and memories to take with him. They kept his heart going.

Above all else, Wil was a devoted husband, father and grandpa, his grandchildren were the light of his life. He was a kind-hearted and humble man who loved Jesus. In quieter moments you would catch him watching his favorite TV show which was always western, his Josh would remind him who's playing when it came to football he loved that too. Never missing a beautiful Sunset and spending every moment he could get with his wife.

Wil is survived by his wife Karen Farrell; his children Cassie Peterson, Jackie Johansen, Joivana Luthi and Josh (Tasha) Walmer; 18 grandchildren. He is also survived by his Brother, Mike (Carol) Farrell and his Sister Susan Poulsen.

He was proceded in death by his parents and his beloved grandchildren, Taden and Sadie.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday February 7, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at Aarons Mortuary, 888 S. Main St. Brigham City, Utah. A viewing will be held prior to the Celebration from 12:30 -1:30 p.m.
