Benito Vialpando

Benito Vialpando age 87 passed away on January  31, 2020 at the Salt Lake City VA Hospital from Kidney and Heart decease.

He was born in Los Ojos New Mexico to Tomas and Eutimia Vialpando on November 26th. 1933.   He served in the U.S. Army from 1953 through 1960. He retired from Hill Air Force Base after 31 years of service where he worked as a Communications Tech. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus for over 40 years and a parishioner at St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Benito joins his wife Viola who passed away on October 28,2018.  They were married for 64 years and have 4 surviving children, Lena Wilmer, Benny Vialpando, Brenda Vialpando, and Timothy Vialpando; 5 grandchildren, Lee Spence, Amber Mangle, Isaac Farley, Debrae Ward, and Jacob Vilapando; 4 great-grandchildren, Darrian Mangle, Ben Mangle, Delanie Mangle,  and Paulina Ward. Benito was 1 of 10 children, leaving 3 surviving sisters Josie, Alice, and Arlene; and two surviving brothers Alfred and Herman.

Mass will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2020, at 10 a.m., with Rosary at 9:30 am prior to the Mass at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 514 24th St, Ogden, Utah. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 13, 2020, from 6 to 8 p.m.,  at Aaron’s Mortuary, 496 24th St, Ogden.
