Donald Eugene Dawson

Donald Eugene Dawson, 79, passed away at his home in Ogden, on 01/04/2020.  Don was born on 05/01/1940 in Tremonton, Utah, to parents, Raymond and Ruth (Jackman) Dawson. 

Don served in the Army during the Vietnam conflict, stationed in Germany.  Don married Kathy Norman 10/22/1976 in Ogden.  He worked as a laborer at DDO, HAFB, laying carpet and hanging custom-made drapes for Van Kampen’s Furniture nd Donalyn’s Drapery.  He retired from Futura Industries.

Don enjoyed fishing, ice fishing, vacationing in Yellowstone, being outdoors and cooking. 

Don is survived by his wife; sisters, Carolyn (Rayburn, deceased) Wilson, Charlene (Jim) Harrt, half-brother Ray (Shannon) Harrison, half-sister Dixie Davis of Scottsbluff, Nebraska, many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Lawrence Dawson, and brother-in-law Rayburn Wilson. 

The family would like to thank Envision Home Health and Hospice for all their assistance in the care of Don, as well as PA Adam Craner for all his care throughout the years. 

Don has requested that no services be performed.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to assist with the cremation costs, or make a donation to the charity of your choice.
