Elaine “Nonna” Cattelan has returned home to be with The Lord on February 5, 2021. She was 97 years old.
She was born on May 7, 1923 and raised in Randlett Utah, Daughter of Paul and Elizabeth Vargas.
On April 24, 1948 she married the love of her life Albert “Papa” Cattelan in Evanston, Wyoming. They spent 67 years together.
Nonna loved to go on many adventures traveling in her and papa’s motor home, sightseeing, fishing and camping. She loved the outdoors, and especially all types of wildlife and birds, that reflected in her favorite hobby of drawing in pencil. She won many awards in the Weber County Fair for her artwork. She loved to sew, and you could always find her dancing if there was music on. Nonna was known and loved for her witty sense of humor.
More than anything she loved our Lord and Savior and spending time with her family.
Elaine was reunited as she entered the gates of heaven by her sweetheart, Al Cattelan. Her son Douglas, and grandson Nicholas. As well as many more that have gone before us.
She is survived by her children Angela Cattelan (Patrick) Reed of North Ogden UT, Danny (Nancy) Cattelan of Warren UT, Tina Cattelan of North Ogden UT; 13 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
A mother’s love is like no other. Nonna you will be greatly missed, rest peacefully with our Lord and Savior. We love you.
