“Born and Rader, always a Raider”

In loving memory to our beloved, Eric Daniel Rader, age 50 of Clinton, Utah. Eric passed away suddenly on January 7, 2021 from Stage 4 Colon Cancer and COVID-19 complications. He was surrounded by his loved ones when he peacefully gained his wings.

Eric was born on July 4, 1970, in Richfield, Utah, the son of Paul Eric Rader and Maxine Laura (Martinez) Rader. He was raised in the Catholic Church and was a man of God. He belonged to the Ohkay Owingeh Native American Tribe in New Mexico. He participated in various spots including football, baseball, and soccer. He graduated from Clearfield High School. Eric served in the US Army as a lab technician. He later attended Salt Lake Community College were he establish a career as a master plumber. Eric was well-known for his hard work ethic and dedication to providing for his family. He always put others first and never complained about anything. He was loved by family and friends both near and far.

Eric and Kim Rader started a life together in 1994 and together they raised their four children. During their marriage of 21years they lived in Salt Lake, St. George, and Las Vegas. Eric enjoyed spending time with his family and supporting his children and grandchildren in everything they did. Eric and Kim loved spending their time camping, hiking, and hanging out with friends both old and new.

Eric met his fiancé Jody Jepson in 2016 and spent the last four years together living in love and happiness. Together they loved attending concerts, traveling the world, and attending Oakland Raider football games.  Their life plans were changed in June when Eric was diagnosed with Colon Cancer. Eric loved Jody and his new family so much and worked hard to support them in everything they did. Together with their blended families they enjoyed celebrating their unity.

Throughout his life, his actions spoke louder than his words. He will be remembered for his work ethic, his sacrifice and dedication to his family and his ability to love everyone he knew. He will forever be missed.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Fabian and Elogia Martinez, former wife Kim Craig Rader, grandsons Noah and Isaiah, and son-in-law Alex Hernandez. He leaves behind 4 children Justine (Kel) Motuliki, Briana Tai, Michaela Rader, Jaydie Rader. His 6 Grandchildren include: Jaida (11), Lamar (9), Tyson (7), Mya (5), Boston (3), and Elliott (2).

Eric was known for his hard work-ethic,  his dedication to his family, and his ability to love everyone he knew. He will forever be missed.

He was a loving brother to siblings Michael (Katie) Rader and Laura (Rustam) Canteenwala. He was also a father figure to Jody’s children: Madison Lunt, Taigan (Colton) Pollard, Demi (Gavin) Staples, Britten Stratigakos, Khloe Gray, Corey Gray and Lexie (Hudson) Gray Hsu and 7 grandchildren.

Mass Services will be at  St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 4050 S. 3900 W., West Haven, UT 84401, on Monday, January 18, 2021 at 10:00 am.  Private family viewing will be that evening at Aaron’s Mortuary, 496 24th Steer, Ogden, UT 84401, from 5:30- 6:00 pm. A viewing for all family and friends to follow from 6:00- 7:00 pm. Vigil Service and Rosary to follow at 7:00-8:00 pm. Burial services will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday January 19, 2021, at Clinton Cemetery, 813 N. 850 W., Clinton, UT 84015.

Flowers and condolences may be sent to Aaron’s Mortuary in Ogden.

The family would like to express their appreciation to everyone that has supported them through this time both emotionally and financially.
