Steven Reed Baker passed away on Thursday, December 31, 2020, after bravely fighting a year-long battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his loved ones at his home in Bountiful, Utah.
He was born on June 7, 1973, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Martin and Reina Baker. He grew up in Rose Park, and had a passion for bike riding, origami, and skateboarding. He was a graduate from West High School and then later graduated from the University of Utah with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He was most recently employed at Ultradent Product, Inc. He always expressed how much he enjoyed those who he worked with and working at the company.
On August 4, 1998, he married his eternal companion Carolyn Bangerter Baker in Bountiful Utah Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. They were blessed with two beautiful daughters. He was an amazing dad and husband and loved being with his daughters and wife. His knowledge, love, and sense of humor will live forever through his family.
Steve was talented in everything he did. He loved learning new things, especially the way things worked. He loved to use the talents he developed to serve those around him. He loved to travel and explore new places with his family and had a soft spot in his heart for Hawaii.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn, his daughters Kaylee and Jessica, his parents Martin and Reina, his oldest sister Tonya (Jeff) Mayo, his younger brother Cory (Stacey) Baker, and his 6 nieces and 3 nephews.
The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at Utah Cancer Specialist and all of those who helped from Intermountain Hospice for all of the great care!
A graveside will be held to honor his life on Saturday January 16, 2020 at the Bountiful cemetery at 11 a.m.
