Christopher Keith Gilgert, 41, passed away on April 11, 2026, at his home in Salt Lake City.

Chris was born on April 2, 1985 in Carson City, Nevada. He spent most of his life in Utah where he graduated from Ben Lomond High School in 2003.

He was smart and talented. Some things that he loved to do included spending time with friends and family, playing baseball, hiking, camping, snowboarding, reading, listening to music, and playing poker. Chris had a wonderful sense of humor, and he loved to make people laugh. He had a knack for connecting with people, and he was always happy to make friends everywhere he went. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Chris is survived by his partner, Aubry Bean; beloved children, Josh Gilgert and Ellie Gilgert; brothers, Zach Anderson and Bobby (Krista) Gilgert; grandmother, Bonnie Frew; aunt, Brenda Frew; father, Brian Gilgert; and other family members who loved him including cousins, aunts, uncles, a niece, and many others.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Shelly Frew Anderson; grandfather, Kenneth Frew; and uncle, Kenny Frew.

Chris was a kind-hearted soul. He held his family and friends dear to his heart. He will truly be missed by everyone who knew him.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, April 24, 2026. This will be located at the church at 770 15th Street, Ogden, UT 84404. Family and friends are welcome to share memories of Chris during the service.
