Randy James Elizondo Sr.

December 2, 1950 ~ May 30, 2021 (age 70)

Randy James Elizondo passed away peacefully at his home in Ogden, Utah on May 30, 2021, accompanied by two of his sisters. He was born on December 2, 1950, to Jean Montano and Theodore Elizondo in Salt Lake City, Utah. He had two children, Randy Jr. (Mijo) and Tina.

He attended West High School and achieved a certificate in tailoring. He was a professional painter and maintained properties for Park Avenue Rentals which he gave much attentive care to. He enjoyed literature and philosophy, psychology, and history of film. He also enjoyed architecture and would travel to downtown Salt Lake to look at all the tall buildings. He loved rooting for the Utah Jazz, going to Wendover, listening to jazz music, and watching classic & war movies. He was close with friends and family and enjoyed spending the holidays with his loved ones. The way to his heart was through homemade Mexican food.

He had a big heart and always thought of others by sending cards and gifts through the mail. Randy had a wonderful sense of humor and was well known for the care he took to maintain an orderly home. He will be remembered for his stubborn refusals to help, even chasing those away who attempted. He will be deeply missed by many in his life, and we will miss all his stories about growing up. He was a member of the Catholic church.

He is preceded in death by his parents Jean Montano and Theodore Elizondo. Randy is survived by his children, Randy Elizondo Jr. (Mijo) of Salt Lake City, Utah daughter Tina Elizondo Vigil of West Valley City, Utah siblings Judy Martinez (husband Leroy), Debbie Elizondo, Diana Elizondo, Cindy Echeverria, and Gina Webster (husband John) and many grandchildren. You’re in the glory of our God in a state of happiness, perfect peace, and love.
